We are keen to hear from anyone who would like to become a volunteer adviser at our offices in Southwark, London SE1. If:

• you are a qualified accountant, chartered tax adviser, solicitor or former inspector of taxes, and
• you have at least two years' experience of advising in personal or small business tax, and
• you are prepared to give a half day every two or three weeks at our offices in London, helping people who cannot afford to pay professional fees

It can be difficult for TaxAid to persuade major charitable donors and ordinary members of the public of the need for our unique charitable service.

Fellow professionals, however, are aware that there are many people with tax problems who are in dire financial need. We are therefore largely dependent upon financial support that we receive from, or through, our colleagues.

Possible forms of support might be

• a simple donation, to which we could add Gift Aid
• payroll giving through your employer
• asking that a fee due to you for an article or speech be donated to TaxAid instead
• donations or sponsorship by your firm or employer
